A Blue and White Porcelain Ginger Jar and Cover The rounded sides rising from a flat circular base to a tapering shoulder, decorated in bright shades of underglaze blue with three finely outlined quatrefoil panels enclosing the ’hundred antiques’ motif of auspicious objects, including a ruyi sceptre, a book, a scroll, a peacock feather and censers, all reserved on a ’cracked ice and prunus’ ground between crenel borders encircling the foot and neck, the cover similarly decorated, the base glazed.
