The central medallion decorated with a four-clawed dragon amongst crashing waves and scrolling clouds, with wood stands, Kangxi period (1662-1722), diameter c. 16 cm. PROVENANCE: From the collection of a Swedish missionary couple who lived in northern China during the first half of the 20th century. Condition Wear and firing defects. Loss of glaze at the rim. No repairs found with UV-light. 29216
