A Set of Five Chinese Famille Rose Peach-Ground Bowls Finely potted, with rounded sides rising from a circular foot ring to a lobed rim, decorated in famille rose enamels with a magpie perching on an apple blossom branch and a large butterfly, all reserved on a delicate peach- or cafe-au-lait ground, the rim gilt, the glazed base with a square seal mark of Xianfeng in iron red. Period: probably Xianfeng (1850‑1861). Height: 4 cm, diameter: 9 cm. PROVENIENS A private collection, thence by descent.
