A Yellow Ground Porcelain ’Dragon’ Dish Of circular form with gently rounded sides rising from a short foot, glazed in yellow overall and finely incised with a central medallion of two ferocious five-clawed dragons chasing the flaming pearl within a double circle, their bodies glazed in green and brown, respectively, and curling among stylized clouds and ribbons of flame, the rim encircled with a single line, the reverse of the brim further decorated with grape bunches and stiff pointed leaves, glazed in green and brown with black outlines, the glazed base with a six-character mark of Tongzhi. Period: mark and presumably period of Tongzhi (1862‑1874). Diameter: 13.2 cm.
