Baluster vase with warriors decoration

A good quality Nanking porcelain vase, of baluster form, standing 43.5cm tall and weighing 4770g, finely painted in polychrome enamels on a beige crackled ground to depict warriors on foot and horseback, engaged in battle. The shoulders adorned with chilongs, the collar with finely sculpted foo dogs. Marked to the underside with the usual apocryphal Chenghua reign mark, inscribed in the clay. Condition: Very good, no significant damages or repairs. Minor wear commensurate with age. 33031037
