Hand-painted polychrome enamel decoration against a yellow background. Height 10 cm Diameter 11.5 cm Each of the three parts depicts motifs of solar crosses, symbols of the universe and eternity, and four medallions with the characters "Wan Shou Wu Jiang" ("Longevity without end"). The cup has a meandering board at the top towards the mouth, and a motif of waves at the bottom towards the foot. The same wave motif is repeated on the lid. Cup and lid are marked with the six-character Guangxu mark in iron red. Condition Age-related wear and tear. A couple of minimal edge nicks on the cup. Two minimal edge nicks on the saucer and one very thin crack on the edge (approx. 0.3 cm). Some wear on the enamel in some places. The object has been examined with UV light. Minor irregularities, shrinkage cracks and ash/sand residues from production are not described. Hidden cracks or damage may occur on older items. We recommend examining the item physically.
